Mosely Hall is now called LaGrange. It is here that Henry E. Murphrey was
captured during the Civil War. Need to check out the cemetaries there. There
appear to be some connections. LaGrange is in ????? County. Some of the
Cunninggims are buried there.
James Murphrey, father of John Murphrey and Henry Murphrey, may be buried
somewhere around Willow Green. This is the general area where the Cunninggims
and other families close to John Murphrey lived. Also, Henry Murphrey died in
Hookerton, which is very close to Willow Green.
Need to find inventory from Henry Murphrey's death. He was buried in the
Murphy Cemetary in Lenoir County. This cemetary appears to be the key to finding
out more about the family. It is apparently near Hookerton and may be the Willow
Green Cemetary.
Was Mary Murphrey Brown the second wife of John C. Murphrey? Can probably
find out by checking the death certificate. She is buried in Oakwood Cemetary in
the Jones/Murphrey plot in the Mordecai Section.
